Why do patients think they can boldface lie to us and we won’t find out? It boggles my mind. Case in point:
Woman brings in an Rx for Tylenol #4 #200. I run this Rx through her insurance and it comes back rejected (surprise surprise) saying she recieved 125 from another pharmacy 4 days ago.
I ask her if she picked them up at another pharmacy. She said “No, you are the only store I come to.” Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. So I call up her insurance company, wait on hold, then find out she got them filled at another pharmacy across town. Happens to be another independent. I call said pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist (whom I know) and he said “Yeah, she came in 4 days or so ago and picked them up, I remember exactly who she is”.
I hang up the phone, and ask the woman (who now is complaining that its taking too long and she wants to just pay cash and leave) if she is sure she didn’t get them filled at pharmacy X across town. I waited for the “no” before I layeth down the verbal smack. At this point shes screaming at the top of her lungs to either fill the Rx or give it back to her (gee, wonder why).
Needless to say, she didn’t take too kindly to me telling her that the other pharmacy remembers her coming in to pick up the Rx, and if she wants to lie, she can lie to Walgreens.

True story. Happens all the time where I work.

you’re a much “nicer” person than i am…i would have called the prescribing physician’s office and spoken to him/her personally. when alerted to the fact that they have (most likely, unknowingly) aided someone in their addiction, the doc usually would ask me to confiscate and destroy the prescription. no one likes to be lied to and no one likes their kindness taken advantage of – or their time wasted.
it was always a pleasure to shred one of those confiscated prescriptions. i did post-doc research and education in substance abuse – i understand the power of addiction – i just couldn’t stand being treated like an imbecile by someone using my professional existence as a means to get high. as a pharmacist i am the gatekeeper of medication, the doctor can write for whatever – but i also get to use my judgement on whether or not a patient should receive it. otherwise, i wouldn’t be liable for checking when docs mess up scripts and write for unbelievably idiotic drugs and/or sigs. and i don’t believe that preventing drugs of abuse from reaching the hands of addicts is beyond my scope of practice.
and also, in a very passive-aggressive way, it makes me laugh internally to see someone caught in their own lie and then freak out. i’m a bad person.

Let them lie to walgreens? Aw, come on. I don’t wanna deal with them any more than you do. We’ve got enough of them as it is…we’ve even got our own little report telling us who’s trying to get their soma and vico-dans filled early. >__<

Why Tylenol #4? Are people that desperate for a little Codeine?

I am in Canada, land of milk and honey, and let me tell you, our insurance providers are looking to you guys in the US of A for guidance! We get too early, or duplicate drug ALL the time. Which is good, if it’s the case, and patients lie lie lie about it. They decide to take double, and wonder why their insurance is pissy about paying?? We also have BIG problems up here with the DIA’s (department of Indian Affairs). Their RX’s, especially for anything with an abuse potential is always…too early, filled at other pharmacy. Then I call the other pharmacy, they confirm, and patient tells me, “but I never picked it up”, so i tell them, well somebody did, so now you can’t have it again! Dumbass../.

There is a part of me that thinks “Let the addicts string themselves out till they aren’t bothering anyone.” Then I remember the cost to society as a whole when we have to take care of the aftermath. Bravo!
I have been prescribed Tylenol 3 a number of times and have never completed a bottle since I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled when I was 12. No pain like dental pain.
Of course, I am allergic to ingested alcohol and corn and have to take Tylenol 3 to get codeine to stop coughing if I get a really bad respiratory infection. Usually takes between 2 to 5 pills to get the coughing back under control – unless it is a bad infection. Emergency inhalers all have alcohol in them now that CFCs are illegal. I HATE the way they make me feel. I truly do not understand why anyone would want to be that spacey.

I need some advise from the other side of the counter. I have a local pharmacy that has has my wife in tears at least twice. We finally switched to a city 20 miles away and recently had to go back becasue we are leaving on a trip and didn’t have time. Tears again. Basically my son takes one of the ADHD drugs and becasue he is 12 sometimes loses them or double takes them when he is half awake and even drops them down the sink. Over the last year we are probably a months worth short. Our mistakes yes. The Pharmacy acts as if they are the nazi drug police even after talking with our doctor, treates us like criminals and are overzealous with neopolitan complex attitude.(yes he is short) What recourse do we have? I don’t want my son to go on and off unnessarily. Even when in the past they have relented and filled the script they sheepshly slowley slide it over the counter as if to quickly pull it back if we seem too eager to reach for it as if we are some types of addicts. I completely understand the problems in the world with illegal transfer of drugs but there must be some compasion or some recourse for medicines that get lost in everyday life without making a 12 year old boy go on and off his meds because of an overzealous pharmist. Pharmasists please let me know my recourse or tell me if I am being completely unreasonable. Sometimes they give us excuses about it being to early that the insurance won’t cover it and when I say I will just pay cash and forget the insurance they they come up another excuse. Thank you for your blog space. David

I am with Rebecca. I would have busted them with the doctor and then called all the other local stores to let them know she was on the way.

Comment by A’mee on 2007-07-26 22:53:50 -0700 #

David–
My son also takes ADHD medication. A couple bits of advice:
#1- supervise him! He’s only 12 after all!
#2- Use a weekly pill box (and keep it with YOU so he can’t get into it. Aren’t you the least bit concerned about him taking a double dose???
#3- Why why WHY is he taking pills right over the sink??? My son takes his medication at the table.
Even if you are willing to pay cash, I know the stuff I get is approx 100 bucks a month, why on earth would you want to pay that? Are you made of money?
We hear excuses all the time. This is common sense. It’s not a matter of you being unreasonable, it’s a matter of you using your head.

Comment by jj on 2007-07-26 22:56:29 -0700 #

David your 12 year old isn’t responsible enough to be in charge of his medicine, if he is double taking it, losing it, etc.
Assuming of course
a)Your wifes not taking the meds.
b)Your sons not just selling the shit to his friends at school.
It is YOUR responsibility as the parent of this child to make sure he is taking his medication properly. If your consistently showing up at my pharmacy too early for the insurance company I’m gonna send you away in tears as well

Comment by Gravelpit on 2007-07-27 08:42:20 -0700 #

Dear David Dolata,
YOU IDIOT!!!!
What parent allows their 12 year old control their own medicine.
If he is losing his meds or taking to much….THEN GIVE IT TO HIM YOURSELF!!!
He’s only 12 years old for Christ SAKE…He should be worrying about getting dirty not about his meds!!
This story doesn’t make sense and if it doesn’t make sense it isn’t true.
Which means either you are taking the medicine yourself or your selling it.
Even if your not–YOU are depriving YOUR son of much needed medicine.
You Make ME SICK!!!!

Hey now!! I work for Walgreens! I’m not bitching cause I love your rants but you must have some shitty pharmacists out your way wherever that is because our pharmacists at my store and the ones around me always call on suspicious characters! We right in big bold print RTS and the date we’ve even been told by some dr’s to rip up the script and toss it. I’m sorry that you have to deal with crappy walgreens people!! Much love from the walgreens in Canton, Ohio!!!

I agree with Rebecca and Skippet. I call the MD that wrote the Rx and the MD that had prescribed the med filled at the other pharmacy. I also gather all the info from the state’s controlled substance monitoring program and call all the physicians at that point…. this process does a few things… 1. makes me happy 2. stops them from getting their fix 3. stops them from coming back!
I can’t stand to be lied to!! and I certainly can’t stand them talking to and/or treating me like and idiot….
RED FLAGS:

  1. I’ll pay cash, you dont have to run it through my insurance.
  2. This is for my back, the other one was for my foot.
  3. It was stolen.
  4. I dropped it in the toilet.
  5. The other one hurt my stomach or didn’t work.
  6. “My body can’t break down generics”–yes an actualy quote!!
  7. I want the MYLAN brand.
  8. I need this filled, but I want the white ones not the pink ones!
  9. I forgot or lost my ID. (or they bring in an ID from 1990–it has been expired for 17 years–this happened this past weekend!)
  10. I’m going out of town/on vacation. (We were told 3 weeks ago that there are no pharmacies in Hawaii, which is why they needed their Ambien, Lortab, Xanax 3 weeks early)Apparently, Hawaii is the fountain of youth!
Those jerks are almost as bad as the meth addicts that hop from pharmacy to pharmacy buying pseudoephedrine–but they are always buying it for their “grandmother”…We have a meth/drug abuse hotline and believe me–we use it!!! I have actually seen quite a few on the local news being arrested.
Its great, everyone should try it!

Comment by Vicki on 2007-07-29 08:50:29 -0700 #

Oh…..I would have written on the front of the Rx …”got 125 filled on such and such a date at other pharmacy”. These people think we’re morons. Wish I had a quarter every time this happened….and they wanted to then pay cash. Wake the hell up, druggies!

Reading these comments makes me laugh . . . I, like Rebecca, get so much pleasure from ripping up scripts! I am the drug nazi at my pharmacy . . I do not hesitate to call doctors, other pharmacies, insurance companies, whatever it takes to find out about someone acting suspiciously (you can almost always tell when they’re lying to your face). I had one script for Oxycontin 80 a guy was dropping off for his sister who “had no insurance” and “needed” brand name only. It was going to cost him over $800. We had never filled anything for this lady before, so I called a pharmacy in her neighboring town to find out she did indeed have M’care D. I got the info, billed the insurance, and BAM she was 22 days early! I called the doc and was told to rip it up. I had so much fun telling that guy that I had good news and bad news. The good news . . his sister does have insurance so he needn’t pay all that money . . the bad news I have to rip this up now because you LIED to me in so many ways and I caught you. Oh- good times, good times!

Most pharmacists call the doctor, but we usually see this problem after 6pm when the doctor’s office is closed and we can’t get a hold of the on call doctor.
I have known pharmacists to write “DENIED” on the back of the prescription and the reason why. I used to work with one who would always write in BIG BOLD LETTERS with a FAT BLACK SHARPIE marker! She would write on there where it was filled, when it was filled, the quantity and days of supply, the phone number of the pharmacy, and the date and time that she called the pharmacy.
Try to get that prescription filled now!

Not all patients that may appear to be drug-seekers are. Being diagnosed bipolar with primarily hypomania, so xanax is a life-saver for me. I also take adderall because I have trouble concentrating and staying on task, and 2 other medications. Apparantly, my pharmacist disagrees with my medications so I know how it feels to be treated like a drug-seeker. I assume this is due to the fact that my psychiatrist often calls in xanax when I run out early. What the pharmacist doesn’t know is that there are those times when I need more than usual. My doctor may write my prescription for 4 a day but I have been on twice the dose up to six times a day in the past. After 5 years of taking this medication, he is comfortable with me judging when I need more (within a set limit). I wouldn’t mind explaining this to the Pharmacist but there are always other customers standing around so for obvious reasons, I don’t. I don’t care if the Pharmacist calls my doctor when I come in with a hand-written prescription that is early. I expect it, although my Doctor gets irritated because per his requirment, I have used the same pharmacy for every prescription. It is embarasing enough to be bipolar and adhd without your pharmacist making you feel like a drug addict. I understand what you deal with and how many people abuse prescription medications and I am sure it gets old, really quick but for those who really need these controlled substances to lead a normal life, it gets old dealing with a Pharmacist with a mentality that most people getting these drugs have a problem. The last time I filled a prescription, I had for the first time, changed jobs and therefore insurance and though covered, I didn’t have my contract number. I explained this only to have him turn around and try running it through my old insurance anyways and then asking me “why was I prescribed xanax?” I simply responded, “Because if I don’t take it, I may harm myself or others.” That is an exageration but oddly, he looked pleased to hear that response!

I am a patient and I see the other side of the story. Only 10% of people on pain medications are actually addicted to them and fewer than that are actual dr. shoppers and drug seekers. The rest of us, even if its ok by our dr. to fill our scripts early, cannot due so because of our insurance or some not very understanding pharmacist. If you’d all read up on pain you might be more sympathetic. Do you know when you red flag someone you are probably depriving them of much needed medication? Furthermore, only 12% of pain patients are actually adequately prescribed. Most of the rest of us muddle along with pain being mildly minimized because the physcians are so fearful of the new psychotic laws and I can’t honestly blame them. Also, it’s illegal to confiscate a script, so next time you do that, think twice. Try having a little compassion next time and you better hope that noone you love ever is in chronic pain.

Fuck you ALL and the high horses you rode in on! You missed your true calling as a pig or a narc! If you really cared about people, you would mind your business. Let them have the fuckin medicine, what is the big fuckin deal? It’s totally legal in most countries. The fact that I can’t get as many drugs to relieve my pain as I want is bullshit! Not only that but if you knew how withdrawals felt, you might not be such an ass and be more empathetic. Also, if you had ever needed medicine for pain and it wasn’t your fault you had to have it. I was in a car accident and almost killed. While I was in the hospital, they shoved the narcotics down my throat like candy. Now, I’m in chronic pain and I have to go to the emergency room and wait 5 hours for a prescription and you think you’re such a bad ass and throw it out cause you think I’m stupid enough to OD. How many times has that happened to you? Have any of your customers ever OD’d? Anyway, mind your own business. Give me the medicine I want. I hope you experience pain one day that is so terrible that no medicine can aleviate it! ASSHOLE!

Try working in Florida where the addicts drive from Kentucky and other states due to the ridiculous Oxycodone over prescibing epidemic we have here. There is a pain clinic on almost every corner. These doctors write oxycodone 30mg #240 or #300 for EVERY patient. Some even have methadone and oxycodone stamped on blank rx pads because they prescribe the same thing to EVERY patient: Oxycodone, xanax soma and methadone. They all want the blue pills and call their buddies from the waiting room to alert the network to what dumb pharmacist actually has oxycodone for the pill mill doctors. Nothing is being done to stop these doctors or all the addicts they create. A recent article stated that these doctor shoppers could actually make a million dollars in 2 weeks from doctor shopping and reselling the oxycodone. Our employers tell us to verify the rx with the pill mill doctors and then just fill them. Obviously they don’t have to deal with crack heads who have hundreds of scabs all over their bodies in person. I really hate this part of my job. All the time I waste policing oxycodone could be spent helping real patients who are in need.

Comment by Misty on 2010-08-11 08:11:44 -0700 #

First of all, Kristen, I’m sure the ‘vico-dan’ comment was a joke pointed at drug seekers like you who actually pronounce it that way. Second, it’s idiots like you who overdose after ranting about not being able to control your pain and needing refills too soon. You can talk all day about how pharmacists and doctors should just give you as many pain pills as you want and mind their own business, but it never fails, you harm yourself and the first person you file a lawsuit against is the pharmacist. So yes, it is our business and it is my license at stake. I didn’t get a doctorate to babysit assholes like you.

Comment by tech7709 on 2010-08-11 19:27:18 -0700 #

Doctors can write all the scripts they want! After all, its not their license on the line. Also, it is not illegal to write “filled x, amount on y date, at z pharmacy!” Patients think they are so smart! Question: have you ever been able to outsmart a pharmacist?

Comment by GBG on 2010-08-14 23:23:57 -0700 #

“I hope you experience pain one day that is so terrible that no medicine can alleviate it! ”
Yes, pharmacists DO experience pain that meds cannot help. It’s called hearing bullshit from know-nothing little fucks like you who don’t realize that people ABUSE the system. Yes it’s a hassle for that hard working mother of three who had a back injury and needs her pain pills, but it’s only that way because Mr Addict has to keep getting refills from 8 different pharmacies.
The pharmacies hear excuses all day and about 80 percent of them aren’t true. These addicts are a burden on society and when pharmacies have the chance to call them out on what they are doing and possibly put them away and off the street, they jump at the chance to do so! I had plenty of customers complain about having to get out their license to buy Sudafed, or having extra trouble getting Lortabs, but most of them understood that if people wouldn’t abuse the drugs and abuse the system, things wouldn’t be that way. If YOU have such a problem with us and our “high horses” then stop going to the pharmacies and stop bitching. Maybe you can go buy your drugs from some crackhead living in a dumpster.

I have been on subutex for about two years now. Obviously tapering down slowly with the help of my doctor. Everytime I go into the pharmacy they give me problems and treat me like complete crap. Today I went to fill my prescription like I always do once a month and the girl said no problem be back in 45 min. so I ran some errands and came back and she said sorry we don’t have them. I called around to other walgreens (that is the one that I go too) and found another one that had them in stock so I called ahead and they told me to come right in. So I drive out of my way to go there and when I get there the guy calls the other pharmacy right away, gives them my name and then starts laughing??? And then says yup that’s the girl. So what does that mean? I’m what girl exactly? He then said that he would need the consent of my Dr before refilling my prescription on a Saturday evening??? Really? Even though I have filled my prescriptions at Walgreens for two years and they have not done this before?? They have given me other problems before so much so that my Dr had to call them and confront them for treating me like a drug addict. I bet if I walked in with a script for 100 vicodens then it wouldn’t be a problem, sorry for trying to get my life together but what is it a conspiracy that all pharmacists and “pharmacists techs” need to be assholes and suspect everyone. I did nothing to be treated like this. Treat the people that are actually drug seekers and are forging scripts like that but me?? I will never go to another Walgreens in my life and have already talked to my dr about getting them in trouble for treating me like a druk seeker when I am obviously not.

Why do patients lie to pharmacists? I think the better question is why do pharmacists think they can lie to patients? I’ve had many pharms deny me my ADHD medication and tell me it is out of stock and that it won’t be in for weeks. Next day, next pharm, and ta da! It is in stock. It is ridiculous! If my doctor prescribes something, pharmacists have no right to lie to me rather than admit that they are a racist and prejudging patients who need medication!

Comment by adriano on 2011-11-06 21:04:01 -0800 #

pharmacist have every right to say what they want to. if they dont feel comfortable filling an Rx, they shouldnt because it is their liscense on the line. If someone passes a fake Rx and dies from a drug overdose, society won’t blame the retarded crackhead that couldn’t handle his own; they will blame the pharmacist that “should have known better.” they won’t even blame the tech that typed the Rx because it is not their decision to make. Granted the pharmacist should have the balls to say, “I’m not going to fill this because i dont believe it is a real rx.” (and i have seen some say this) Most won’t say that because it opens another can of worms and causes a scene. race has very little(cant say none cause i have seen some pharmacist that were racist assholes) to do with telling someone their med is OOS. its all on how the person carries themselves; are they twitching, are they dressed raggedly, are they too dressed up for the neighborhood, ETC… if you want someone to take you serious as a customer; stay their customer, don’t pharmacy hop. never refer to medication by their street name. if you cant remember the real name, call it by its classification “pain medicine.” If the MD prescribes anitbiotics dont magically have some at home from last time. you should never have any left over and when customers they have some left over i tell them they are no longer good and to throw them away and they have to get the new one the MD wrote. bottom line is pharmacist dont treat this like a game because too much is at stake than some crackhead trying to get his Somas and hydros.

Pharmacists don’t have to fill your script, if they are uncomfortable filling it or think your going to use it for nefarious purposes they have every right to tell you either No, I’m not going to fill it or It’s OOS. Legit pain patients? Sorry for your trouble, but tough noogies. You see how people abuse the system everyday so how can we not be cynical? After being screamed at for 8 a’fucking hours a day, your chronic pain is the least of my worries and if we can fill it, we will. If we can’t we won’t. Fuckin’ deal with it.

i will say this, you guys lie all the time. i have a 4 page mri and a handicapped tag yet i have had abt 10 different pharmacists and rx techs bold faced lie to me abt not having my meds. so who do we talk to. i have tried many different meds in 7 years and some dont work and others i cant take due to allergies or side effects. its sad how you guys judge people because you guys are not that good at it. i say this because it would be easier for me to buy my meds on the street than it has been for me to find a pharmacy to fill at. i am only 30 years old so that maybe the problem but when i take in my mri and tag and am lied to it pisses me off. i am about to take my camcorder in tomorrow to make an internet video abt how a lowly pharmacy tech and arrogant pharmacist make it impossible for a legit pain patient to get their meds and how easy it is to get on the street. i will not buy anything illegally becasue that helps fuel the problem. hopefully you guys will never have my problem of hurting 24/7 and barely sleeping and have no quality of life. maybe you guys need to go through it for a week to see how it feels. i live in atlanta so if anybody wants to sit down and review all my records etc and maybe help me out let me know. if not learn how to really judge people, i can tell when you guys lie to me instantly, its not that hard.

yes i have many times. i actually sued one for trying to have me arrested over a legal script. i also outsmarted one two months ago who tried to tell me my meds were on back order for a year because she did not want to fill them. she did not look in the system fist and now she is jobless. i am usually nice but when i am judged and lied to and it costs me grief, pain, or money i make them lose also. i hope i never run into you because i do know the laws and rules because i am by the book, i have to be. now i see why i am looked at like a criminal sometimes when reality most of you are arrogant idiots who want to play doctor but are nowhere near qualified to do so.

I just *have* to send a big *fuck you* your way, because as the above poster said, pharmacists are not required to fill any script, and have the ability to turn away any script for any reason. Period. If you present no problem to the pharmacy, of *course* we’ll fill your rx. But if you’ve given us problems in the past, don’t be surprised if we refuse to fill it. It’s really that simple. Add to that the fact that the DEA watches us and our control / C-II filling habits with hawk eyes, and it really isn’t any wonder at all why we’re as paranoid about controls and C-IIs as we are.

But just remember that the pharmacist is the gatekeeper to everything in the pharmacy, and (s)he has the ultimate say in whether an rx will be filled or not.

I don’t know much.. I’m just your every day “Joe” and I understand you pharmacist’s frustrations.. poor you, getting paid butt loads of money to sit back there and shuffle around, scoop pills, and judge everyone.. (like it’s your place). I’m personally with David. Sure y’all can sit there and talk shit about him being irresponsible for letting his kid take his own meds, but hell.. that’s half of the problem with our country anyway, babied kids turn in to big fat babies, but that’s another story for another day. Y’all probably don’t even have kids bc you’ve been working at your career to damn long to meet any one to have sex with.

Me, I’m a man’s man, truck diving booger picking ass hole. And I know I’m also judging you, except I have more ass behind what I’m saying. Y’all are dick heads, let’s face it. It doesn’t matter what the fuck I do with the meds I come to you for.. it’s capitalism. It’s none of your business. I hand you money, you hand me my merch. Why all the sudden are there all these rules and restrictions. If my doc gives me a prescription why the fuck are you telling me what to do? If I changed a few nouns and verbs and applied your logic to my job I wouldn’t last to long.. could you imagine if you ordered some of your bullshit and a truck driver had all these rules to get you the toothbrushes to put on your shelves? This is America man. If u want to do heroin up your ass while smoking a goat’s dick what do I care? If I have the heroin and a goat, show me the money and do what ever you want.. that is a bit extreme but it’s what this country was founded upon.. some one tell me I’m wrong….
The more gov and rules the more problems we ALL have.. my advise (as if it were wanted) to any pharmacist, from a customer, stop we the preconceived shit.. no one cares what you think.. you’re not a doctor, your a licensed drug dealer anyway.. like the crack dealer cutting you off…. stop pretending your doing everyone a favor with your knowledge and scoop the damn pills.. be lucky you have a job. If it were my choice meds would be given at the doctor office where we were prescribed. There’s my rant. I don’t see the purpose in having pharmacies anyway.. but hey, capitalism right 🙂

Yes, yes, yes! If I had to select one “institution,” which I would generalize as being the MOST corrupt, it is the pharmacies (or more specifically, PHARMACISTS) of the USA! They ALL lie, outright, about not having medications in stock (among a host of other things). They are the most dishonest, immoral, compassionless, and undertrained individuals I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with.

They play doctor because they are, undoubtedly, some of the most unintelligent of the “formally educated” people I have encountered in my lifetime. What do you call a medical school drop-out on an ego-trip, who is massively under-qualified for their position, and completely ignorant in the arena of customer-service (their main job qualification, aside from pouring pills in a counting machine)? Are you ready…SURPRISE!…a pharmacist!!!

In fact, in the fourteen years that I have been disabled (one year shy of half of my lifetime), I do not believe I have had a single treating physician who has not made fun of pharmacists, outright, for their lack of intelligence, lack of class, lack of compassion, ignorance, and especially for “playing doctor.” Not only can they not seem to accomplish the priciples of honesty nor grasp the parameters of their job description, but they cannot even answer BASIC questions regarding the use of medications, their appearance, and drug interactions. They seem to derive their information from the same place that the most uneducated consumer does-the internet. Luckily for them, they are privvy to special programs, which allow them more detailed access to said information-yet it STILL takes them longer than the average high-school educated person to decipher the “CAUTION: DRUG INTERACTION” notice, comprehend what a “moderate” interaction versus a “mild” interaction means, and relay the information to the customer accurately.

One last note…someone should create a survey to measure the “ghetto” level of the average pharmacist. It should be comprised of some combination of how well they are able to speak and comprehend the primary language of their customers, their ability to add basic numbers as well as to count, and how their customer-service skills measure up. As you can observe from this forum alone, the sheer number of four-letter superlatives used to communicate how much power they would try to exert, unnecessarily, because of how special they think they are, speaks for itself. So, the few “white folk” left doing this job, get ready to smack your third-eye dot between your eyes, change your name to Punjari, and mumble under your breath, rudely and incomprehensibly, when interacting with the people who pay your wages…your customers!

Personally, I can’t stand pharmacists. I’m on adhd meds and I’m constantly being told they’re out of stock when I know darn well they’re lying. I had a partial prescription filled a couple of weeks ago and was told they would have the rest for me in a few days. I went in to get the remainder yesterday and was told they were out of stock and wouldn’t have them in until the end of next week…maybe. I knew right away she was lying but I said okay no problem, I can wait. She obviously thought I took them all already and was coming back for more…which is NOT true. It’s her responsibility to give me what is owing…that’s it…not assume that I’m abusing my meds and making me wait. THAT in itself makes me furious. Anyways i’m seeing my doctor on Tuesday and I’m going to get her to transfer all my meds to Shoppers. I’ve had enough of this shit and I hope one day karma comes to bite all these suspicious, assuming, jerks right in the ass.
