New backend, new layout, new beginning.

Many of you have emailed me asking why I have been so quiet the past month or so.  Well, now you know.

Welcome to the new Angry Pharmacist site!  Not having threaded comments (meaning you can reply to a comment, and your reply appears under theirs) really bugged me, and Moveable Type just wasn’t cutting the mustard.

So I found n6design and asked them for a new layout for WordPress.  They went all over town taking pictures of old stock bottles and tablets (I love the Viagra rocket, but the Soma balloon is the best) and even managed to take some pictures of an old Bates Stamping Machine.

The site otherwise should be the same.  Most of the old direct links should work, however I know of a few that are probably broken.  I’ll be adding more things (like twitter, can’t let DrugMonkey and TAestP get one up on me) as soon as I get most of the bugs worked out.

I love your Dilaudid bush, but I respectfully request a few acres of neat rows of Lortab cultivation. Lortab doesn’t grow on trees, you know.

Looks awesome!. All you need now is the popular ER game “Wheel of Narcs”. We used to play it in training. When we had a drug seeker we would spin the wheel. It had the names of all the common narcs on it, alternating with various NSAIDs and Tylenol.

But I’m allergic to Dilaudid, Lortab, Percocet, Hycodan, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Vicodan, oxycodone, Tylenol #3, Codeine, and Darvocet. The only drug I can take is oh, gosh, what is it called? What is it? Oh, I think it’s something like Deee-more-al. Yes, that’s it. Where is the Demoral the doctor phoned in for me?

I like the new look of the layout, but the header image on the top appears to be on crack.

It’s interesting; however, the overall composition of the piece is unbalanced, individual elements are well rendered and clever yet confusing in their placed perspectives. ( I understand it’s not supposed to be realistic, but even humorous and chaotic designs need structure.)

I know I’m going to get blasted for that, but as a student graphic artist it was driving me nuts and I had to say something. Sorry.

It’s a great overall change though.

My fav part of the new layout is the “go away” on the doormat of Angry Pharmacy….I need one.

Awesome redesign Angry Pharmacist!
The new theme reminds me of the movie “Nightmare Before Christmas”. All you need is a mascot like Jack Skelington.
The Viagra in the corner is cool – it looks like scorpion.
